I should have posted this last week but do the holiday I just didn’t get round to it. This was the most recent in my photography workshops held at the Culture Yard (a great place promoting cross cultural exchanges) in a lovely hutong at Beixinqiao. It was another nice mix of nationalities including, Argentinian, German and South African photographers! Despite a few technical hiccups (my laptop charger decided to die) everyone enjoyed the workshop and the weather could not have been better perfect blue skies. A long way from the hazy pollution ridden skies of the past few days. Well here is a selection of the student’s work and also some of their comments about the workshops. It was really great! It did help me a lot to refresh lot of concepts and put them into practice. I found very useful to share photos with others and receive Peter’s advice and criticism of them. It was very useful how we can correct some pictures with Lightroom, I didn’t know that.

Great time, good materials and practical help in getting me going on the road to photography. The practical shooting and feedback sessions were the best parts about the workshop.

For me it was very useful. I took photos over 15 years ago, than I stopped. And now in Beijing I started again and I like it a lot. So I forgot a lot about the theory. And with the dslr is different then with an analog. So for me it was all a very good experience. I liked a lot to see how the other take photos of the same (and other) things they see. And I liked to talk about. It was a very good mix of theory and practice. I liked the theory part at the beginning, I liked the shoots in the hutongs and I liked the discussions about the photos. So everything was very good. I would recommend this class
